Nueva Prosperina is a social development project that aims at educating the local community of Nueva Prosperina, Guayaquil on their basic rights to housing, safety, health and education. They provide workshops to families and some of the natural leaders of the community to enable them to reflect on local issues while encouraging short and long term collective problem solving.
While spending time in the community, we immersed ourselves by connecting to the natural leaders, interviewing locals and investigating related problems in the area, while specifically focusing on the lack of infrastructure and urban planning.
To help the Nueva Prosperina NGO expand, we developed a strong, simple brand identity that would appeal to potential investors, volunteers as well as the community itself. We then spent time on graphic design, photography, a communication strategy and created an online awareness campaign to increase reach, raise funds and offer support to the community and the people who support them. We also held marketing, social media and design workshops and created open PSD files so the group could manage and expand their own project.
