We are a creative collective who believe in the power of collaboration, art & photography to not only disrupt, but to empower & promote positive change.
[CROP] stands for Creative Resistance & Open Processes. Coming from diverse and multi-disciplinary backgrounds, we use street art to question societal issues, while paying homage to some of society’s most marginalized and often unseen individuals. We believe art should be free, inclusive and accessible, and as a collective, our work and decision-making processes are horizontal.
The first [CROP] Project street art installation took place in Johannesburg in 2017, and the collective is now expanding to other continents. By connecting like-minded artists, creatives, and organisations for the artworks, we also encourage those involved to continue conversations and relationship-building in their communities, and to independently explore ongoing project potential.
